Get a Sneak Peek at Google and the Future of Search Engines
 
Craig Silverstein celebrated his bar mitzvah at Congregation B'nai Israel and went on to become the first employee hired by Google's founders. He created many of the original IT components to support Google's deployment and growth, and he continues to serve as Google's Director of Technology.
 
Join us at B'nai Israel on Sunday, July 25 at 2 p.m. for an interesting and informative program with Craig Silverstein.

Preparing for the Holidays and a Sweet New Year
 
With Rosh Hashanah beginning on September 8 this year, the holidays are right around the corner.
 
Later this month, all B'nai Israel members can expect to receive important High Holiday information in the mail. In the meantime, we'd like to share some highlights with you:
 
Once again, Sisterhood will be offering you the opportunity to conveniently send Rosh Hashanah Grams through Sisterhood. Stay tuned for more information!
 
Many members of our congregation ordered personal copies of the new Mahzor Lev Shalem. The books have not yet arrived, but we'll let you know when they are here. Please note that Rabbi Kaiman will be conducting a class on August 30 at 7 p.m. called Preparing for the Holidays: Insights from Mahzor Lev Shalem. All are welcome and encouraged to attend!
 
Please also note that once again we will be offering a community Break the Fast at the close of Yom Kippur on September 18. Please note that reservations and payment must be received by September 15.

Google's Director of Technology to Speak at B'nai Israel

Join us on Sunday, July 25 at 2 p.m. for a program with Craig Silverstein, who was Google's first employee and continues to serve as Google's Director of Technology. Craig will speak about the development of search capabilities at Google and what the future holds for search engines.

Junque to Jewels Rummage Sale

Junque to Jewels has come and gone, and we'd like to thank the devoted members of our congregation for making this fundraiser a success! We couldn't have done it without the generous contributions from many of our members and the tireless efforts of our volunteer staff who sorted, priced and organized items.
