High Holidays

We invite you to observe the High Holidays at Congregation B’nai Israel. With a full schedule of traditional services and children’s services and a comfortable atmosphere, we hope you’ll feel at home at B’nai Israel.

This year, Cantor Asaf Nagel will join Rabbi David Kaimain on the B’nai Israel bimah. Cantor Nagel will be traveling to Gainesville from Israel, where he currently conducts a youth orchestra.  Cantor Nagel trained under the Chief Cantor of the Great Synagogue of Jerusalem, has performed throughout Israel and Europe, and has served as High Holiday Cantor in synagogues in London and New York. Please click here to listen to a recording by Cantor Nagel.

For your security, we require that all members and guests carry a ticket when entering the building. Tickets are provided to synagogue members free of charge. We gladly provide tickets to guests in advance of the holidays and we suggest a donation of $100 per ticket.

Junque to Jewels Rummage Sale

Junque to Jewels has come and gone, and we'd like to thank the devoted members of our congregation for making this fundraiser a success! We couldn't have done it without the generous contributions from many of our members and the tireless efforts of our volunteer staff who sorted, priced and organized items.

Lag B'Omer Photos

We celebrated Lag B'Omer on May 2 with a picnic at Sholom Park.
